artistic Statement

Stories have always been my escape. In the dark of a theatre or the glow of a screen, I found worlds where strangers felt like family, foes, or forgotten parts of myself. That is the magic of acting. Its ability to stir emotion, awaken empathy, and invite us to live inside another life, even for a moment.

My artistry is shaped by American theatre, Indian cinema, and the vibrant, diverse storytelling traditions of South Africa. I am drawn to narratives that explore South Asian identities, class inequality, the meeting point of the cosmic and the human, and the raw honesty of lived experience. These are the stories that challenge me, ground me, and call me to imagine beyond what I know.

As a performer and creator, I am committed to work that expands representation and opens doors for voices often unheard or unseen. I believe that storytelling is a bridge between cultures, between selves, between what we fear and what we hope for.

Through my craft, I aim to hold space for complexity, vulnerability, and transformation. I hope the art the I create can offer someone an escape, inspiration, or revelation.
